Ginger Tong Chock

Like many Chinese-Americans growing up in Honolulu in her youth, Ginger Tong Chock regularly attended after school Chinese language school. There, she learned the principles and art of writing that sparked her affinity with the Chinese writing brush and respect for the Chinese written character. Her field of study thereafter followed this path at universities in Honolulu, Taipei, Ann Arbor, and finally in Palo Alto with a doctorate degree from Stanford University in the History of Chinese Art. Returning to Honolulu, she taught Chinese Art History for a while, but soon focused on China's earliest written script, the "oracle bone graphs". Specifically, she sought evidence among these thousand plus graphs for their underlying vocabulary of the Genesis Creation story. In May of 2015, after more than ten years of research, she published these findings in her book, "Genesis in Ancient China". Her passion now is to help others discover the Genesis God and Creation story in China's earliest script and its subtle but sure connection in legends, myths, and Confucius' own sayings.
