Jim Wormington

Jim Wormington (1960-present) primarily writes fiction and poetry.

Good writing is a promise.

"There's something for you ahead," it whispers. "A surprise or two that might help you forget who you are (even if for a brief time) and what is real. Weirder still, it might help you remember who you once wanted to be—before the long, cold, sobering soak in the Sea of Conformity. Be open to questioning. Be open to strange voices."

In writing poetry and fiction, Wormington wants to be that whisper.

Wormington’s work has appeared in Writer’s Digest, The Orange County Register, BULL, and the literary magazine Spire. He has interviewed Grammy Award-winning artists Marc Cohn and Johnny Winter, as well as Michael McDermott, Lucy Kaplansky, and Walter Trout. These feature articles have appeared in Courier News and The Daily Herald.

Wormington's first Kindle/Amazon publication is a short memoir chronicling his spiritual evolution: "Rob Bell Saved Me from Hell: My Road to Universalism." Also available is an essay about being short (something he knows about) called "What's Your Problem, Shorty? Removing the Short Goggles."
