For ten years of my life I was and am a product of Child Protective services in Wilmington NC. I was in and out of foster homes. Most foster parents took me and my brother for the money the state provided.

My teen and adolescent years were consumed with resentment for being taken from my mother. resentment for the father who was never there and resentment because of the men and temporary step fathers who were there. I resented the foster families who tried to take me. I hated the system that separated siblings from each other and the parents who surely loved them.

My anger and resentment consumed me taking me in and out of mental and penal institutions mostly county jails. I've done some prison time my resentment and anger put me in each of those institutions. Anger compelled me to make stupid mistakes .

I've been an electrician's helper. a street performer, a cook, and a fast food worker. I have found seasonal employment as an air condition and heating tech's helper. and I've salvaged aluminum cans for spare change. Now I am a writer. I write what i KNOW BEST. and what I know is the D's lifestyle .
