Jonathan Akin

Dr. Jonathan Akin is the Director for Young Leader Engagement at the North American Mission Board. He also serves as an adjunct Old Testament professor at Baptist seminaries and universities and an author of books like Preaching Christ from Proverbs, Exalting Jesus in Proverbs, and Exalting Jesus in Ecclesiastes, as well as a contributor to Louie Giglio’s The Jesus Bible. He has served as a pastor of churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida.

He has a BA from Boyce College, an MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Old Testament from Southern Seminary. Jonathan is married to Ashley, and they have two daughters, Maddy and Emma Grace, and a son, Judson.
