Managing Partner
Executive and Business Coach
Assessment Specialist
To Barb, the key to successful business coaching is building a strong connection with those she is coaching. Barb’s always had an uncanny ability that seems like a sign on her forehead saying “you can talk to me” which she now uses to create a safe place for business leaders and family owned businesses to be candid about the undiscussed conflicts so the root of the challenge can finally get on the table to be resolved. Barb aims to make each and every one of her clients feel as though they are a part of her own family. That is why there is nothing more rewarding to Barb than watching her clients grow to new heights and have both personal and professional breakthroughs.

Barb's Background:
Barb has successfully incorporated the nurturing and caring traits that once made her a great nurse into her career as a business coach and executive leader.
Now, instead of diagnosing and treating patients she is assessing companies and coaching corporate leaders. Before ActionCOACH, Barb successfully operated 3 home-based businesses and as a consultant, wrote the business plan for a Seattle-based medical coding company to enter the Florida market. That company was later successfully sold by its owner based on its track-record of creating its national footprint. Barb also gathered the research and wrote the business plan for a local transitional housing thrift shop that serves as a funding source for the women in domestic violence situations. This facility is also a way that the women can obtain a work history and learn the skills that are necessary to put their lives back in order. Barb is the true entrepreneur of the team who can see both the big picture and the important details and has the persistence to achieve the company’s vision and goals.
As an innovative thinker and leader of one of the most successful coaching firms in the world, consistently among the top firms globally and in the U.S., she has been setting a standard and model for other coaches and business owners across the global organization. Barb and her team are continuous learners, bringing cutting edge ideas, best practices and opportunities to their clients of all sizes.
In her spare time, Barb has volunteered her talents to help numerous nonprofits. She has also served in a leadership capacity with her local chambers of commerce, serving as founding chair women of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneurial Academy Alumni Association and a faculty member in the chamber’s Master’s Academy Program. She was also a perennial judge for the chamber’s Small Business Awards and its Women of Distinction Business Awards. Barb was a finalist for 2010 and 2011 St. Petersburg Chamber Women of Distinction, Businesswoman of the Year. Barb has been nominated for the 2015 St. Petersburg Chamber Inspire Iconic Woman of the Year. Barb was asked to serve on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Mentoring Monday, an annual event that mentors business women in 43 markets across the United States reaching 10,000 women on one day. Barb was named a finalist of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2010 Business Woman of the Year Award, which included over 300 nominations—the largest response since the awards began in 2004. Recently Barb has volunteered her time as a Rotarian in the Rotary of St. Petersburg organization and was elevated to the join the Board of Directors and Chairman of Membership for her 93 year old chapter in 2014.
