Mark Searby was born in Albion, Illinois and completed his college and seminary education at Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln,Illinois. He completed the Doctor of Ministry degree at the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois. After serving over 20 years in pastoral ministry, he taught at Lincoln Christian Seminary for 10 years. He also served as a Vice President for Lincoln Christian University for 4 years. He served for 10 years as the director of Doctor of Ministry Studies at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He currently resides in central Florida and is the director of the Center for Pastoral Resilience. Searby is passionate about developing "leaders who last" through his work with the Center. He is currently an adjunct professor for Johnson University - Florida in Kissimmee, Florida.
