Michael R. Ritt

Mike is an award-winning Western author with roots in the mountains and plains of Colorado and Montana. An early passion for books grew into a love for writing during his high school years, and since then, he has produced a variety of works, including short stories, poems, fiction, and non-fiction.

Mike is currently retired and lives in Wisconsin with his redheaded sweetheart, Tami, whom he has been married to since 1989. He enjoys reading about history, theology, and natural science. Mike is a member of Western Fictioneers and Western Writers of America.

Throughout his career, his short stories have earned many awards. His first novel, The Sons of Philo Gaines, received two Peacemaker Finalist Awards and won the Will Rogers Gold Medallion for Western Fiction.
