Jen Roberts

Jen Roberts is a high school English teacher, a Google Certified Teacher, the Digital Lead Teacher in San Diego and the co-author of Power Up: Making the Shift to 1:1 Teaching and Learning (Coming June 2015). A popular educational technology presenter at CUE conferences, both locally and statewide, usually around topics related to integrating technology into her English classroom. She is also adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego where she teaches pre-service teachers and an online masters course about digital writing. She is a Writing Project fellow through the San Diego Area Writing Project (2005). Jen is a connected educator, actively contributing to several blogs and several popular Twitter chats. Her passions are literacy and educational technology as practically applied daily in her freshmen English classes. She has been teaching with 1:1 laptops for her students since 2008 and was recognized locally when the San Diego Computer-Using Educators and the Classrooms of the Future Foundation awarded her their Innovative Educator Award in 2013.
