Allan W Chapman

In middle school, I discovered running fast and writing well were my best talents. I graduated from Stanford with a BA in Creative Writing when the Department Chair was Pulitzer Prize winner, Wallace Stegner. Soon, I learned I needed a real job, so I earned an MBA. That education served me well in big business. I wrote only in early morning. Business drove me, and I wandered in the Spiritual Wilderness for many years. Eventually, I learned various meditation practices that enabled me to live more in the moment. I became better able to dump the past, accept the future as only possibility, and savor the only thing I had: the present. My spiritual journey led me to conclude all religions can and should accept all other religions. All are flawed to some extent. Each religion needs to focus on their good beliefs and eliminate the destructive elements. Ecumenical acceptance is a central theme in all my works. I took 25 years to complete the Thriller, Slaves on Horseback, set in the San Francisco Bay area, Manhattan, and Puerto Rico. Then I wrote eight Upper Middle Grade and Young Adult Magical Reality Fantasies. I hope you will enjoy them. If you do, please write a real review on my website. Say what you liked and what you didn’t like. Both likes and didn’t likes help potential readers and me. The positives inspire me to keep writing and the negatives motivate me to improve.
