Dana Morgan Murphy

Dana Morgan Murphy was born in 1961. She currently lives in Athens Georgia with her husband Mark who is an ordained minister. Together they have served for years in children's ministry and have four boys, a daughter and two grandchildren. Dana is from a family of gifted educators. Her grandfather and aunt were dedicated elementary school principals. Her beloved mother and grandmother were both gifted elementary school librarians. They were able to bring any child's book to life when read aloud. Dana's brother, her only sibling, and sister-in-law retired recently from the elementary school system in Florida after 30 years. Since books have always been a part of this authors world, her love of writing plays and poetry seem to be a natural extension. Over the years Dana has written for numerous occasions including Christmas pageants, weddings, funerals, graduations and church events. After the prodding of those close to her, two of the captivating stories have been illustrated and published.
