Adriene Biondo

For Adriene Biondo, there's nothing cozier than sharing a cup o' joe in a mom and pop coffee shop warmed by a flickering neon sign. Fortunately, she grew up in 1960s and 1970s Los Angeles when Mad Men era coffee shops and drive-ins were everywhere. But as these places began to disappear, Adriene realized she was witnessing the end of an era and began working with the Los Angeles Conservancy. An award-winning preservationist, Adriene has directed significant projects including landmarking the Capitol Records building and qualifying her 1963 Eichler neighborhood as an historic district. Adriene is currently working on the completion of the Museum of Neon Art's new permanent home.
