T. Edwin Perry

I like to describe myself as being a very fortunate person. Thanks to the love and support of my beautiful wife and family, I have been able to pursue my lifelong dream of writing and publishing books. My current project, The Chronicles of Whimsy, is a young adult fantasy fiction trilogy following the adventures of a teenage girl who is thrust into a magical world filled with amazing creatures and terrible dangers. With two installments (BIRTHRIGHT and BROKEN) completed and on the market, I can honestly say that it has been a wild and amazing ride, and I wouldn't change it for anything.

I have lived in South Florida for most of my life, and have been married for the lion's share of that life to my best friend. I couldn't imagine my life without her. When not reading, writing or caring for our menagerie of pets, we spend our time watching movies and TV shows, playing video games and spending time online. I grew up with Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel Comics, but, now that I'm in my forties...well, I STILL LOVE THAT STUFF! I don't think that growing up means that you have to give up all of the things that you enjoyed as a kid. Your priorities and tastes may change, but that doesn't mean that you can't make time to have a little fun now and then, too.

I am also what I refer to as a “History M&M.” (I used to call myself a “History Nut,” but then I actually met one and decided that I prefer the sweet, satisfying crunch that comes with understanding the actual lessons from history rather than just memorizing the names and dates associated with it!) I closely follow politics and the news, and I am very distressed by the things going on in our world today. I strongly believe that the solution to our problems won't be found in Washington or in expanding the power of our Government, but in individuals (like you and me) actually taking the Personal Responsibility to take care of themselves and their neighbors. I realize that this last statement may be considered by some as being “controversial,” which is a shame, but it's the truth, and I refuse to pretend to be something that I'm not just to sell a book! With The Chronicles of Whimsy essentially complete (the editing continues on the third and final installment, REBORN), I am currently pursuing new story ideas for future projects. I would love to eventually write a reboot of the classic Buck Rogers sci-fi series, but, for now, I am looking into something in the supernatural/horror vein. We'll just have to wait and see where the muse takes me next.
