TG Dickson

Born backwards in a Catholic hospital in Orange, Calif., TG Dickson is the middle child of three by an accomplished landscape and portrait artist. Too skinny to survive as a starving poet, he chose journalism as a way to feed himself, leading to a career that has spanned more than three decades.

In addition to professional reporting and editing assignments, he financed his lifetime of poetic writing with truly odd jobs such as a seafood cook, construction supply office manager, market research interviewer, warehouse laborer, house painter and a night patrolman.

He has lived all over the Western United States and has lived in the fair islands of the Pacific, traveling trade winds to the South Seas. He currently lives in Radium Springs, N.M., with his wife, Kelly, and their dogs.
