M. Chirimuuta

I'm in the Philosophy Department at University of Edinburgh. In a previous life I trained in visual neuroscience and now I write about the relationship between neuroscience and philosophy, with a historical slant. Before moving to Edinburgh in 2020 I was Associate Professor in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. Sometimes I show up at HowTheLightGetsIn festival to cast skeptical doubt on the prospects for Artificial General Intelligence. I was born in London but am not a Londoner. My favourite philosophers are all dead.
