Robert A. Saul MD

Bob Saul was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in the Chicago area and later moved to Colorado. A graduate of Colorado College and the University of Colorado School of Medicine, he completed pediatric training at Duke University Medical Center and genetic training at the Greenwood Genetic Center. He practiced in Greenwood, SC for 34 years. He is Professor of Pediatrics (Emeritus) at the Prisma Health Children's Hospital-Upstate and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville, Greenville, SC. He has two grown children, Bradley and Ben, two granddaughters and has been married to his wife, Jan, for over 33 years.

His first book, MY CHILDREN'S CHILDREN: RAISING YOUNG CITIZENS IN THE AGE OF COLUMBINE, was published in December 2013.

His second book, ALL ABOUT CHILDREN, is a richly illustrated children's book and released in July 2017.

His third book, THINKING DEVELOPMENTALLY: NURTURING CHILDHOOD WELLNESS TO PROMOTE LIFELONG HEALTH, was co-authored with Dr. Andrew Garner and published by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2018.

His fourth book, CONSCIOUS PARENTING: USING THE PARENTAL AWARENESS THRESHOLD, was released in March 2020 (on his 70th birthday!) and uses his over 40 years of pediatric experience to discuss an invaluable parenting tool.
