James Schnepf

James Schnepf has traveled the United States and the world for years making photographs for a long list of America’s top corporations, magazines, and design firms. His forte is capturing authentic portraits of people in their environments.

Along with assignment work, he is always pursuing personal projects – his most recent being The Palm Springs Project, which took four years to complete and celebrates the people behind the midcentury architecture and lifestyle in Palm Springs. This journey has resulted in the book PALM SPRINGS MODERN LIVING by publisher Gibbs Smith released in March of 2015.

Schnepf resides with his wife Christiane in the Midwest and also at their Palm Desert midcentury home designed by architect William Krisel in 1959.
