Mahria Thompson

Having waded through so much trauma in her life-time, but continually pursuing truth fervently, Mahria Thompson has finally reached a plateau of Peace and Joy. She began receiving spiritual revelations in recent years, and wants to share them through writing, hoping to lead people into Awakened Consciousness, where they know God personally and know their Oneness with everyone, enjoy the Kingdom within, and be able to create all they desire, as Jesus said,

“Greater things than these will ye do.”

She is certainly a Divinely-Appointed individual having survived tremendous trauma and abuse all of her childhood years, which left her soul in darkness for many years into adulthood. However, looking back, she sees the beautiful Divine Design of her life, full of unexpected miracles that kept her here, and eventually lead her toward her toward the Grand Awakening of Consciousness through which the nightmare of her past was released and dissolved as a bad dream that never really occurred. It was really an out-of-body experience that occurred in her late 20's that cracked open the dark shell of her mind, letting in light for the first time. She was temporarily translated into a place of peace and joy she had never before experienced or even believed possible. When she “awakened” from the trance, she found herself sitting in a circle of women reading from a little book. They offered her the book to keep. That little book lifted her soul like nothing ever had before, charging her with joy and excitement every time she read it. The words filled her hungry heart with love and truth that she had been starving for all her life. She believed everything it said, because it resonated in her being. She eventually graduated to the King James Version of the Bible and continued studying fervently for 15 more years. Her faith in God and knowledge of the Truth soared sky-high.

Her total focus now being on God and Truth, she thought she finally found what other people had. However, her life experience was much different than others and it showed. She had trouble relating normally to others, because her only authentic words were about truths from the Bible. She had never learned to express her feelings all her 19 years at home growing up. She had continually been oppressed with torment, mockery and criticism, and had shut down inside. Her soul had became silent. She just didn’t learn the vocabulary of words that normal people pick up in childhood because she never had practice of talking. It’s hard to believe, but it is true.

This was her problem for most of her life. Either no words came to her mind, or they would just come out funny. Her childhood programming had left many deep scars which silenced natural and spontaneous expression. She had learned to listen well, however, and learned to know people by their energy and the look in their eyes. Most people mis-took her “staring” and lack of clear verbal expression as offensive, making them feel uncomfortable, so she was often shunned and disregarded. She just wanted to feel accepted and loved but instead was misunderstood, judged and separated from. People project their own fears onto others.

In her early adulthood, Mahria had obtained a B.S. in Modern Languages, and taught French, Spanish and English during the day and tutored algebra and geometry after school, while raising her 3 children as a single mom.

Despite of the continual doubt and anxiety she felt about herself, she believed the truths in the Bible and A Course In Miracles, and would take big risks to follow her inner Guidance.

“God is not willing that His Son be satisfied with less than everything.”

As a result of this belief, Mahria seemed to always attract the perfect person or situation that she needed in each moment. Because she “jumped off the cliff” so often, she experiences these miracles repeatedly.

Feeling dissatisfied being a public school teacher, Mahria decided to go back to college and get a Master’s Degree. She prayed about what program to pursue. She kept hearing the words “Clinical Psychology” in her mind. She really didn’t know what “Clinical” psychology was. She had a minor in Psychology in her first College Degree, as well as minors in Art, Math and English. Her close friend Dr. Bruce Bowles, an Economics Professor at the University of Tennessee, helped her get admitted into the Clinical Psychology at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They each lived in different areas of Nashville.

Mahria courageously applied for and received a huge school loan to finance herself and 3 children for two years, while pursuing her Degree at WKU. Every morning, she would leave her 3 children, aged 8 to 14 years old, at 7 am to care for themselves and get to school, while she drove an hour to the University in Bowling Green to be in class by 8 am. To her great surprise, she made the Dean’s list the very first semester.

A year later, she ran out of money and had to give her kids away. She went to work as a waitress until she was stable enough to get her children back and finish her degree.

Mahria has spent much of her adult life healing and recovering from her traumatic childhood, which rendered her lacking in several areas of her life. Being extremely intelligent, she was able to navigate through the work world sufficiently, but inside she always felt separate, fearful and "less-than" others. Looking back, she realized that she had unconsciously been Guided to study Clinical Psychology, to learn what had happened to her psychologically in her formative years. The environment in which she was raised was the same environment that creates schizophrenics.

This explains the deep, convoluted and twisted cobwebs in her mind that she had to spend years, unraveling and releasing by many various healing methods and by saturating her mind with Truth. This explains her thirst to read the Bible and A Course in Miracles. The Course says all egos are insane. She is very aware of what this means, having been totally controlled by her fear-based ego for so many years. One can only realize the magnitude of this when they are released from that insane control.

“Healing God’s Son is All the World is for.”

After her children left home and received their college degrees, Mahria traveled all over the US and in Mexico to present self-created Spiritual and Self-Growth workshops.

She later became a Real Estate and Precious Metals Investor.

She has also traveled to France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Greece, the Bahamas and 3 times to Hawaii. In addition, she has spent time in Ecuador and in many cities in Mexico, where she used her Spanish-speaking abilities.

All this life experience has given Mahria much wisdom and knowledge. We are here but to evolve our souls. Changing our focus from ego glorification and material wealth, to savoring the things that last forever will afford us the most joy and satisfaction and true wealth in the end. Mahria truly believes Awakening Consciousness to know Who and What we really are, and living from that state of being is the highest attainment of our soul can achieve on the planet.
