Wanda Kemp

Wanda Kemp, is a poet who resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband, Ronald and their cavapoo, Spencer. After retiring as a manager from a pharmaceutical company in 2013, she decided to self-publish her third book of poetry.

She was born and raised in Newark, N.J. and became interested in writing poetry when she was in high school. Her first poem entitled, "Newark's Riot" was published in the Afro-American paper in 1967. She self-published her first two books, "Love (As I See It)" in 1976 and "Sensuous Feelings" in 1977. Her new book, "Love (As We See It): Then and Now" is a collaboration of the poems from these two books as well as some that were never published.

The book also includes poems written by her talented granddaughter, Amanda Tucker, who is a graduate of Drew University in Madison, N.J. Amanda is a brilliant poet and has a site on You-Tube called Poetically Shine.
