I am not a zombie, even though I feel like one before my first cup of coffee.

I have never (knowingly) eaten brains or living human flesh.

I am a writer, sing bass in a barbershop quartet, and have a handlebar mustache. I like hot sauce, hard cider, and skinny-dipping. If my wife is with me, I enjoy those things even more.

Many of my books take place in and around Frankfort, Michigan. I've enjoyed the Frankfort area in three seasons: spring, summer, and fall. Visiting in winter is on my bucket list.
