Anne D. Emerson

Anne Emerson grew up in the Boston area and went to Brown University where she studied writing with John Hawkes. She has had a long career in university and museum administration, at Harvard, Boston University and the Bostonian Society. She has written op eds on historical topics for the Boston Globe and articles for professional journals. Letters from Erastus: Field Notes on Grace is her first book.

She is married to Peter Altman, former artistic director of the Huntington Theater in Boston and the Kansas City Repertory Theater.
