John Howze

John Howze published his second book, By the Still Waters, on Jan. 1, 2017 on CreateSpace. It is also being put on Amazon soon. John was born in Michigan, and grew up on his father's home-place in the mountains of East Tennessee. He became a Christian at age 14, and began writing poetry shortly thereafter. A journalist by profession, he worked at a variety of newspapers in Tennessee and Idaho before enjoying a long and productive career at Idaho National Laboratory. As he neared 40, he took up a renewed interest in writing poetry. Like his first book, Let Him Hear Singing, John's new book, By the Still Waters, is an outgrowth of his Christian faith. In both volumes, he provides a sparkling array of work that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, reaching with ease for the reader's heart by opening his own. Regardless of your perspective on life, this man has something to say to you, and says it well. John has three other books in the works at this time.
