At five years old, Pat's father put her in their Red Flyer wagon and pulled her down the street to the local grocery store where she left her book on the counter next to the cash register. Returning a week later, the store owner handed her 25-cents. Having made her first sale, she was hooked on writing.
As an adult, she had several careers eventually becoming a Communications Consultant. Whether she wrote policies and procedures, instructions for operating machinery, newsletter articles, advertising, video scripts, or web content, her work earned numerous awards.
Leaving a career that used very few adjectives, when Pat retired she knew it was time to explore creative writing. Since 2014, she finds pleasure capturing words and letting them flow from her mind to the tips of her fingers. She enjoys shaping and nurturing them until they’re printed on paper or are read on a screen. Even more, she loves to weave the words together so they either teach or entertain. She's always delighted when she's able to coax them into doing both.
