About Mike Cangemi (1949-) born in Boston, MA, residing in Gloucester, MA since 1976.
My latest nonfiction book, That's Not What I Said, published on Kindle January 2019, has steered my writing along a track I call an 'observational essay'.
We've all been there, 'he said she said I said', only you said nothing of the sort. Most of the time we let it slide because, let's face it, you've moved on or the correction isn't worth the effort. But that, the moving on, doesn't mean you've forgotten because, as much as we would like to put things aside, our memories tend to linger, another day or two, perhaps weeks, months, decades, and often, a lifetime. The garbage we carry to our deaths is incalculable.
And, we pay the full price without rebate.
My intention for writing this book, is, of course to offer an expression of my observational opinions to events both current and historical, from dawn to dusk and all the evenings between, up-close personal as well as viewed upon from a distance yet, undeniably, have made me, and you, who we are.
So, what is the reaction from readers I most appreciate?
Simply that you 'get' what I'm saying, understand that, although we haven't experienced similar events, there is a story between the covers we all share.
