Ron Maggard, along with his wife Frances, have been involved in Gospel ministry for over 35 years. During that entire time they have been doing the same thing - planting new churches. Their ministry has led them throughout the northeast of the US with churches planted in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and New Jersey. They also led their church plant teams out west to Utah and Arizona and finally to Florida for planting Spanish language churches. Outside the US their ministry took them to Ireland, England, Cuba, Guatemala and Haiti and several other countries of the world.
Presently they are involved in new church plants and in training leaders for these churches in Guatemala, Haiti, Cuba and south Florida. They operate a thriving and useful ministry in Guatemala, the High Road Ministry Center in Xejuyup, which is reaching many remote villages and peoples in Guatemala. Hundreds of visitors come from US churches for short-term, cross-cultural mission trips and stay at High Road and go out into the villages to evangelize and work. The center has a dormitory, kitchen/dining area, medical clinic and chapel and is the home of Iglesia Bautista Faro de Luz of Xejuyup.
In Haiti the Maggard's have the Good Shepherd Orphanage, which is operated by their Carelink International Children's Ministry, as well as their other work of opening new churches and training leaders for ministry in that country.
Ron has always loved writing, sermon preparation, preaching and teaching. Many of his books are from these life-long experiences.
Ron and Frances are the parents of Tori Maggard Gillit (Tyler Gillit) of Fort Worth, Texas and Ransom Maggard (Ashley Shope Maggard) of Stuart, Florida. Both of their children are in the ministry. They are also the PROUD grandparents of Will and Anna Gillit and Abigail Grace Maggard and one other from Ransom and Ashley Maggard on the way in 2015.
