Dirk Lueth

Dirk Lueth Ph.D. is a serial entrepreneur, mentor at the German Accelerator and an investor.

Dirk studied Business Administration in Frankfurt and Paris. He holds a Ph.D. from the European Business School/Germany. He is a fluent speaker of four different languages: German, English, French and Spanish.

Dirk started his career as the co-founder of Financial Times Germany (a brand that innovated in multiple media outlets (print and online) and won several awards). He then ran the content and licenses business of Lycos Europe. It ran across 12 countries and he was apart of the executive team during the IPO. Thereafter he co-founded Forbatec, a financial software company, which he sold to SunGard. At SunGard he became COO of the technology division where he drove strategic acquisitions and significant business deals. Dirk moved to Silicon Valley in 2009 when he found a company called ENTARENA, Inc. (a software provider for the treasury industry).

In 2012, Dirk found Oncircle, Inc. with Stefan Roever and Michael Janssen, which later developed into Gbox. Gbox is a video monetization and distribution platform that allows creators to directly sell videos to their audience. A strong patent portfolio supports this unique and strong technology (5 of a total of 15 patents are issued). As the founder and CEO, Dirk raised $3.2M in seed funding round and successfully brought the platform to market.

In his active role as a mentor at the German Accelerator he has helped over 10 German companies enter the US market. He also supported them in their Silicon Valley fundraising efforts.

Currently, Dirk resides with his family in Menlo Park, CA and enjoys national competitive swimming.
