Virginia Parrish

Virginia Parrish grew up near Philadelphia and spent most of her life in South Jersey. At the age of eight, she discovered Nancy Drew, and thus began a lifelong addiction to mystery novels. Among her favorite contemporary mystery authors are Deborah Crombie, John Sandford, and Peter Robinson.

A graduate of Rutgers University, she taught both English and French in New Jersey public schools. The fictional Anchor Property and Casualty Insurance Company and its employees grew out of two years’ employment as an insurance liability and property claims representative. She also worked for an exchange student company, which allowed her to travel to both Europe and North Africa.

Virginia no longer lives in New Jersey, but she remains a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, and misses Wawa every single day.
