Andy Daugherty

Andy Daugherty is a full-time IT Project Manager. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in Education. However, his real passion is Christian ministry; teaching and serving in the local church. He grew up attending church and over the years, he has served as a teacher, deacon, elder and now a minister. Currently, Andy is bi-vocational. He still works full-time in the Information Technology sector and serves part-time at McDonough Christian church as Discipleship Minister, organizing groups, supporting and coaching group leaders and encouraging discipleship.

He is part of a growing trend in churches: "We will see in 2015 an accelerated trend of other church staff becoming bi-vocational" (Fifteen Trends for Churches for 2015 by Dr. Thom Rainer).

Andy lives with his wife (Terri) of 30+ years, in a suburb of Atlanta Georgia. They have two grown children: Amy and Matthew. He has recently started "Speak Truth Ministry" offering a blog and free Bible study curriculum: www.SpeakTruth415.org

"I hope this simple book (Before God's Face) on Christian living will be an encouragement to fellow Christians, especially those young in their faith. Because I am a bi-vocational minister, I think the Lord has given me a slightly different perspective than many published Christian authors. My faith is not perfect and it is not seminary-educated but my faith comes instead from an earnest commitment to my Lord to glorify His name. The process of getting this book into print has already been a blessing from God to me and others. Now my prayer is that God will use this to encourage a broader audience as we all grow closer to Christ."
