Gia Lucy is a mom, botanist and nature lover with a passion for children and the environment.

As a teenager, she explored the beaches and hills of Southern California. She spent hours in the ocean, hiked, camped and biked. It was a charmed childhood.

Gia is one of those people who believe she could live the ultimate dream of working at what she loves. With a Biology degree in hand, she wrote “Sun, Sand & Surf: Your Ultimate Guide To Orange County Beaches,” “Temecula Valley Wine Country,” “The Beaches of San Diego” and “Bernard & The Kangaroo Rat Pack.”

It is her hope that her books instill a passion for nature and a desire to, as Mark Twain said, “Throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor and catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
