Kenneth Watkins

Ken Watkins has a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, from the University of New Mexico.

His engineering career spans forty years of designing and building electronics for the military. Ken retired from engineering but was not quite ready to really retire. He built three electric cars and documented the conversion process in a published a book, entitled Building an Electric Vehicle, available from Amazon in print.

He now teaches the fundamentals of electrical engineering at the high school level and has added classes as an adjunct professor at a local college to his "retired" schedule. Next semester he will teach a college class on alternative energy sources with emphasis on solar energy.

Ken wrote a novel, Eyes of Laser Warfare. He recruited a friend to co-write and edit the book. It is available in Kindle Format on Amazon.

He is enthused about converting vehicles from an internal combustion engine into an electric vehicle. He believes anyone who can turn a wrench and has a basic understanding of how automobiles work can do a conversion.
