Evan Hillebrand was Professor of International Economics at the University of Kentucky's Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. He taught courses in economic statecraft, globalization, energy economics, and geopolitical modeling. His research involved global economic growth, economic sanctions, and global income distribution.
Before coming to the University of Kentucky in 2004 he spent 32 years as a staff economist at the Central Intelligence Agency, specializing in the econometric analysis of global trade and growth.
Professor Hillebrand earned his Ph.D. in economics at the George Washington University and his bachelor's degree at the University of California at Davis. He retired from the University of Kentucky in 2014 and now resides on the eastern shore of Maryland.
