Yara Evans

Yara Evans was born in São Paulo, Brazil, but has lived in the UK for many, many years. She has spent most of her working life there as an academic researcher and has only now embarked on the 'fun-road' to writing fiction, launching the first title of the series The Adventures of an Urban Fox, "Maggie Arrives" in the Spring of 2015. The stories about this friendly red fox are based on the antics of real-life foxes that have visited Yara's back garden in London (England) for several years now, including Maggie, her favourite fox that has visited for the longest time. The two cats that figure in the story are also based on the two felines that Yara has looked after for many years, Sombra (black) and Curioso (tabby), which are the latest in a long line of animals that she has looked after. Yara is working on the next title in the series, which will be published soon. Meanwhile, she hopes you'll enjoy "Maggie Arrives".
