Christopher Mott

Christopher Mott was an extremely imaginative child who spent much of his young life writing stories and drawing pictures of all kinds of strange worlds.

In high school, he became fascinated with world history. Immediately upon graduation, 17 year-old Christopher left to spend a month in Mongolia to experience firsthand what he had previously only read about. His passion for world travel expanded during his college years through Semester at Sea when he and 900 other students circumnavigated the world on the MV Explorer Ship. During this experience, he developed a passion for international relations, diplomacy, and geopolitics.

After pursuing work and graduate school in Washington, D.C. and London, Christopher moved to Scotland and studied at the University of Saint Andrews where he completed his doctoral dissertation on the history of Central Asian geopolitics and worked on a variety of research projects.

Having published his first full book, "The Formless Empire," as well as several journal articles and book chapters, Christopher is writing further on topics pertaining to the intersection of International Relations and History. He is also writing several works of horror, dark fantasy, and weird fiction.
