Louis Nagode

Louis A. Nagode (1958-) was born in South Florida, to Slovenian and Czech/German immigrant parents. With a father that worked at Eastern Airlines and an Uncle that taught him, at 12 years old, to fly single engine planes, Louis fell in love with both traveling and the planning that goes with it. While his first choice for college was the United States Air Force Academy, he literally missed it by 1 pull-up and had to settle for attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After 5 years, including spending time at Bell Laboratories as a co-op student, he managed to escape his formal education in 1981 with a simultaneous awarding of a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. By that point in his life, he also had his Single Engine Land Pilot's license with an Instrument rating.

After starting out as a lab engineer with Hewlett Packard, Louis quickly discovered his passion of sharing technology with others. He transitioned into technical pre-sales consulting and has been traveling to see customers ever since. Here are some of the companies and technologies Louis has worked with:

* HP: Telecomm Testing and Embedded Microprocessor Development

* Advanced Micro Devices: Microprocessors, Telecomm, Networking, and Memory

* Cadre Technologies: Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE), Software Performance/Development tools

* Applied Microsystems: Embedded Microprocessor Development

* Oracle: Database, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT)

Louis enjoys public speaking, traveling and helping others achieve their dreams (particularly if it involves technology or travel).
