Elizabeth (Eli) Dickson, LCSW is a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City who is committed to integrating diverse approaches in her work. She received a Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University in 1995 and specializes in relationship issues, couples therapy and financial psychotherapy.
Eli's practice has been enriched by a prior career in economics and finance. After graduating from Smith College, she received a Masters in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley and went on to serve as Director of a Policy Analysis Division for New York City mayor Ed Koch, and later as a Bond Analyst at Smith Barney, where she was promoted to Vice-President.
She decided to become a psychotherapist for two reasons: She wanted to have an overview of the field of psychology and how people function, and she wanted the opportunity to connect at an emotional level, to be immersed in the more poetic, inspirational, heartfelt side of life.
Eli is offering two books on psychotherapy and the positive spiritual emotions. One is a large, hardcover coffee table book of the highest quality that is illustrated throughout with poignant photographs by Rose Dickson. The other is a text-only paperback version, which is ideal for academic purposes in addition to personal use.
