One of Ellen Sullivan's Grandmothers was a passionate reader, who told her first Granddaughter early on fascinating fairy tales and myths by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson, which have given Ellen a life long taste for a good story. American, English and World literature fascinate Ellen in her College Years. She began to understand what moved people's minds and hearts. Literature, philosophy, physics, history and art remained a focus all through her adult life. Years as a military wife brought her into contact with wonderful lifelong friends at home and abroad. In time, two sons were born and they chose lovely wives. All enlarged and blessed our family. Later we grew delighted, when three beautiful and talented granddaughters made their appearances.
Ellen resides these days on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her handsome husband. Nature provides a deep source for her creative efforts. Many poems, as well as paintings arose, for example. from her many visits to Assateague Island Natural Seashore, which led to her poetry book "Assateague Island Inspirations."
She also ventured into fiction with "Entangling Destinies," a space saga set upon the planet Hespera. Its themes of world peace, good will and love persist despite many setbacks.
To popular demand she released her second poetry selections named "Lore, Love, Luminosities," which touch upon world myths, many particulars of her own life from childhood, girlhood to adulthood, in which she shares her sensuous impressions about art, travel, nature, luminous views. She also reexamines riveting world histories that she could not forget.
One lucky day a worthy dragon named Princess Kokola swam into her imagination, which resulted in her YA book "Dragon Magic." The 2nd Kokola book,"The Tale of Dragons and Elves" has now been followed by a 3rd Dragon Kokola account, namely "Time Travel to Florence and Leonardo."
