Stephanie Laterza

Stephanie Laterza is an author and attorney from Brooklyn, NY. Her books, The Lunasole Class (Alien Buddha Press) and The Boulevard Trial, were honored as Finalists of the 2025 American Legacy Book Awards in the categories of LGBTQ+ Fiction and Thriller: Legal, respectively. Stephanie is also the author of the poetry collections Verás (Broadstone Books) and The Psyche Trials (Finishing Line Press, 2019). Stephanie was the recipient of a SU-CASA 2018 artist-in-residence award from the Brooklyn Arts Council, and at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she published her Italian-Latina cookbook, La Masa A Casa. Her works of fiction and/or poetry have been featured in L'Éphémère Review, First Literary Review-East, Ovunque Siamo, A Gathering of the Tribes, Newtown Literary, Literary Mama, The Nottingham Review, Writing Raw, Akashic Books, Obra/Artifact, Pratik: A Magazine of Contemporary Writing, Latina Outsiders, Raising Mothers, the anthologies Brownstone Poets 2020, Mightier: Poets For Social Justice, I Wanna Be Loved By You: Poems on Marilyn Monroe, and elsewhere. Stephanie holds a B.A. in English from Fordham College at Lincoln Center and a J.D. from New England Law School, where a course in Law and Literature brought her full circle to her love of writing. For many years, she's worked as a contract attorney alongside her literary career. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and son.
