Patrick Day

Patrick Day earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Reading from St. Thomas University. He started writing professionally as an advertising copywriter and then moved into higher education, where he took early retirement as a college Dean of Instruction. He’s written nine books, all available on Amazon.

A newspaper reviewer said after reading HOW I ESCPAPED FROM DEPRESSION, "You really are a good writer."

An associate publisher for a major publishing house said of his latest novel, FINDING THE SAFEST PLACE ON EARTH, "I've finished my reading of this edition. It truly is brilliant.”

Day has been active in jail ministry and addiction ministry since 2005. He’s a credentialed chaplain who’s ministered to hundreds of addicts in one-on-one sessions and thousands in group settings since 2005. FINDING THE SAFEST PLACE ON EARTH came out of those experiences. HOW I ESCPAPED FROM DEPRESSION came out of his own experience of four years of major depression. He has been depression free since 2010.

He and his wife live in an outer suburb of Minneapolis. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, and one grand dog, all of whom they love deeply.
