John G. Potts was born in Bombay, India in 1950, shortly after India's independence from Britain. He completed his primary schooling at a British boarding school in Mussoorie, India, in the foothills of the Himalayas, and his secondary schooling at another boarding school in the United Kingdom.
For his day job, John has had two successful careers - the first as a reinsurance underwriter and the second as a software engineer developing mainly Web applications. He is also an accomplished musician, with a long history of performing in pubs and clubs in the UK, Bahrain, Greece, Hong Kong and the USA - all the places where his two careers took him. He plays the guitar, banjo and harmonica publicly, the piano privately, and has dabbled with the sitar. He has written several songs and published an album titled "Poetic Justice", which you can find in Amazon Music, iTunes, Spotify and many other online music sources.
John was always keen to write. Combining that desire with his musical skills and experience is what brought about his first book, "How To Write Great Lyrics". For now, this is his first and only book title, but he has plans to write more books, both fiction and non-fiction. Watch this space!
John has dual American and British citizenship, and is a resident of Pennsylvania, USA.
