Possibly my most primary and previously interesting and dangerous associations was having been in a cult called the Worldwide Church of God for almost 25 years. This cult was headed by a man named Herbert W Armstrong who was driven by many dangerous and dysfunctional beliefs which he spent millions to brainwash his followers via radio, television and print media. Armstrong appears to have believed that he was the sole representative of God on earth since the death of Christ.

My referenced book is an account of my experience in the cult, how I was delivered from it, and the struggle to regain control of my thinking. I recount in the book 5 basic attributes of a religious organization that constitute it's classification as a cult. I have since then become a professional counselor and have a passion to see people get delivered from Mormonism, Scientology, toxic pastors, legalistic,controlling churches and religious abuse of any kind.
