Jean Murray was born in Dublin city in 1967 to Irish working class parents. Having a basic education at first she spent thirty years working as a hairdresser. Throughout those years, she gained many qualifications to further her education and feeling inspired, in 2012 she began to write her first book called, 'My Beautiful Flower.' She soon followed that with a children's story book called 'Madhead The Crazy Horse!' The beautiful illustrations in the book were drawn by her then seventeen year old daughter Sarah.
