Set in the Everglades and Miami Beach, "MF" conjures an erotic movie thriller out of Sophocles’ enduring Oedipus the King. Spoiler alert!!!!!!! Dude knocks off dad then knocks up mom (4x).

Lee’s novel "Lincoln's Train" rescripts Abe’s assassination through a troupe of modern actors. They call out History as just another yarn while upending stodgy notions of Black/White and Gay/Straight.

Every character in "The Lifeguard Murders" manifests a bizarre OCD tic. The spoofy novel also boasts a photo album of potential perps and a soundtrack by streak-running legend Robert Raven Kraft.

In "Author of Destiny," six narrators vie in relating the life of Arnaldo Ochoa Sánchez. All concur that the historical Cuban general really did get executed by firing squad. Lee presented the novel as a guest at the Miami Book Fair.

A Fulbright fellow to Uruguay, Lee holds a PhD in Romance Studies from the University of Miami. He instructs literature and translation studies at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.

Lee has circled the globe by plane, train and freighter, bicycled from Atlantic to Pacific, and kayaked from Key West to Baltimore. In summers, you will find him trekking in the south of Japan with his daughter and son.
