Glenn Ogden

Glenn graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Miami and a Master's Degree from Golden Gate University. He served in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer and completed tours of duty in Vietnam and Germany. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He held several Human Resources positions within the Communications industry to include recruiting, training, compensation, benefits and management. He has a strong interest in history, especially the American Civil War and the American Revolution. The author has written fifteen historical fiction books: "Altamaha Sunset," "Cahaba Sundown," "Point Sunrise," "The Story of Maggie," "A Gray Dawning," "A Picture on the Wall," "A Second Dawning," "A Tempest Dawn,” "Female Soldier, Female Spy," “A Dark Awakening,” “A Dark Horizon,” “Quiet after Gettysburg,” "Arthur & Lightning," "An Unread Journal," and "A New Dawning." In addition, the author enjoys sketching and watercolor painting.

A note about the novel, "Altamaha Sunset"--When I was young, my father told me that he swam in the Altamaha River. On a trip to a family reunion in Jesup, Georgia, I was able to take a boat tour on the southern end of the river. I was impressed with its natural beauty and pristine condition. I hope to visit there again very soon.
