James Matheson

James Matheson was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1961. Jim went to school in Staten Island, NY where he completed his primary education and earned a BA in Economics. Jim currently lives in New Jersey. In his free time Jim enjoys reading history, visiting historical sites, writing and playing the bagpipes.

Jim has completed his third in a series of historical adventure books. The series chronicles the life of Angus MacDonald. The third book finds Angus in Bluefields, Miskito Coast during 1851, and provides an adventure filled glimpse into world prior to the American Civil War.

Jim is currently working on his fourth book in the Angus MacDonald series. In the fourth book Angus's ship the Gray Havens makes a port of call in New Orleans.

Jim uses his love of history to place his characters into historically significant settings. He hopes that his readers will enjoy his stories as much as he has enjoyed creating them.
