Nadine describes writing as a calling. The thought to start a blog came to her shortly after her late husband, Mike, was diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). Nadine’s blog, ‘ALS With Courage,’ inspired Nadine’s first book, Hold On, Let Go: Facing ALS With Courage and Hope.
Four years after Hold On, Let Go, Nadine published her second book, (and second Amazon best seller), High and Wide: When Grief and Love Collide. High and Wide continues where Hold On, Let Go ends, but it also stands nicely on its own.
Nadine’s third book, Extraordinarily George: A story of hope, love, and clean water, is a children’s book about her mom and dad. This true story is an inspiring example of how compassion, determination, and faith can go a long way in making an extraordinary difference. Nadine wrote this book with her sister Elanna’s help and support. It is illustrated by her niece, Elanna’s daughter, Michaela, which makes it extra special.
Nadine lives in Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada with her husband, Chris Ryan, and dog, Leo. They love spending time with family and going for walks and exploring the outdoors. They have a heart for missions and are involved in the family ministry, Project Wellness. Project Wellness was founded by Nadine's parents and focuses on drilling wells in Malawi, Africa.
