Tez Brooks

International speaker and multiple award-winning author Tez Brooks has been writing for decades, using his experiences to help others from a Christian worldview.

His book, "The Single Dad Detour: Directions for Fathering After Divorce" (Kregel) was a winner of the Royal Palm Literary Awards and was awarded Book of the Decade by Serious Writer in 2020.

His writing includes numerous books, theatrical scripts, short films, magazine articles, and devotionals. His work has appeared in The Upper Room, Guideposts, Clubhouse, Keys for Kids, Kids Answers, Worldwide Challenge, Jesus Film Project, Evangelical Press Assoc, Best Christian Workplaces, and more. He's served as Editor-in-Chief for TODAY magazine and Every Tribe & Touchscreen, both publications of Cru.

His screenplay "Jangled" won 2016 Best Short Film in Florida at CENFLO. His literary works won awards with Evangelical Press Assoc, Jerry Jenkins’ Christian Writers Guild, Florida Christian Writer’s Conference, Florida Writer’s Assoc, the Selah Awards and more.

He and his wife are full-time missionaries and lived overseas for a while. In addition to leading a team of journalists, he's hosted The Jesus Film World Report--a radio spot heard by over seven million listeners nationwide. Tez and his wife have four children and reside in Colorado Springs. He loves swimming and movies and dreams of a day when someone will combine his two loves by inventing an underwater cinema.
