Dr. Susan O’Malley is a former emergency room doctor, entrepreneur and speaker. She has been a frequent guest on multiple radio and television programs, is a contributor to Entrepreneur Magazine and was highlighted in the best-selling book, “The Survivor’s Guide for Female Entrepreneurs.”

As a cosmetic doctor with a private practice in Madison, CT, Dr. O’Malley is dedicated to helping women look younger without surgery. Through her national speaking engagements, media appearances and writings, she teaches people how to transform their own obstacles into victory.

In her book, Tough Cookies Don’t Crumble and keynote presentations, Dr. O’Malley distills lessons learned from her transformational journey starting as college dropout and secretary to emergency room doctor and entrepreneur to teach the critical lessons of perseverance and resilience.

Dr. O’Malley was a college drop-out who worked as a secretary for eleven years before returning to college. The day she started medical school she was 35 years old and six months pregnant without a husband, so her journey included single motherhood.

At age 50, she walked away from a lucrative career as an emergency room doctor to open a medical spa dedicated to helping women look younger without surgery. With a dream and NO business training, she rented a space, renovated it herself, put a $75 ad in the newspaper and sat at the reception desk waiting for the phone to ring. Today, her med spa is unrecognizable from its humble beginnings.

In 2011, Dr. O’Malley was elected to the Board of Directors of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. A champion of women, she founded and is chairperson of their Women in Business Committee. She is also a member of the prestigious National Speakers Association.
