Bev England Williams was born in Burma (now Myanmar) and educated in India, Burma, North Carolina, and New Jersey. She attended Mars Hill College near Asheville, NC and graduated from Douglass College in New Jersey. While her children were in college and graduate school Bev returned to the classroom, earning a Master's in teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language in 1991. She and her husband Wally moved from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts to be closer to their daughter and two grandchildren, now teenagers. Their son lives in New Mexico.
Bev continues to enjoy international students in her English conversation group at the local library. She is also active in the nearby Friends (Quaker) Meeting. Bev has been delighted to hear from younger family members: "I'm so glad that you put all these family stories in one place."
I was pleased to receive a big feature in the local Arlington Advocate. our weekly paper. on 26 February 2015
