Sydney Knox is the author of the Blood Empire series of historical intrigue novels featuring Flavius Crispus, the scandal and tragedy plagued son of Constantine the Great. An expert on Ancient Roman history and politics, Sydney Knox crafts novels that thrill, enlighten and entertain her readers. The Blood Empire series and her other upcoming works set in Ancient Rome are intricately researched, and masterfully produced. Sydney Knox has a recognized flair for capturing the underbelly of humanity that translates from the classic world to the modern with ease. She lives in Tampa FL with her family and her beloved Doberman Thor. Sydney received her BA in Journalism from the University of South Carolina and worked as an investment broker and marketing entrepreneur before turning her talents to novel writing, a lifelong passion.

A lover of all things Italian, she has traveled widely, gathering research on ancient Rome and other cities with strong Roman influences. The inspiration for her love affair with the history and people of Italy came from a chance viewing of a much loved modern classic. Ridley Scott's Gladiator made her curious about the lives of those blessed (or cursed ) to live in the time of the Caesars.
