Jane Hunter

I am an Associate Professor School in the School of International Studies and Education in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

I am interested in understanding how innovative pedagogy enhances teaching and learning in classrooms. For a career life lifetime I have been deeply involved in supporting teachers to be the best they can possibly be - this might be through preservice teacher education, the delivery of professional learning, or at 'their elbow' in practitioner research projects in classrooms.

For many years I was a teacher in K-12 schools and now continue my passion for the profession in my work in universities.

My research in education focuses on the pedagogical framework of High Possibility Classrooms and building teacher capacity in curriculum; in 2019 it was awarded HIGH impact by the Australian Research Council in the first ever Engagement and Impact Assessment. I also have national and international teaching awards for outstanding contributions to student learning in Australian universities. T: @janehunter01
