Salvatore Peter Russo

Greetings fellow readers and writers....

God bless you and your mind's eye. It's better to read and relate to characters yourself than have some overpaid filmmaker spoon-feed everything to you. Readers are dreamers and in that way we are all blessed.

My name is Salvatore Peter Russo. I have been writing since I was thirteen years old. I was raised in Centerport, Long Island. A really expensive town, with a pizzeria, a pub and a deli. My first literary feat was filling out ten notebooks with bad, angst-filled poetry in high school. Over the years I have written thousands upon thousands of poems--so much so that I have actually taken a break. I have written about a dozen novels and hundreds of short stories. In the course of the last year, I put out three books through Amazon. (I Crash Cars/High Water Skyline/Yours and Mine-All of the Time)

I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emerson College in '98.

I am in the process of writing a trilogy that actually began for me almost twenty years ago when I wrote my third novel in college called I Crash Cars. (I Crash Cars is the only book I would actually recommend that you pick up on kindle). Years ago I hand-wrote a continuation of that novel--but somehow I lost it. Recently, right after I put it out on amazon---I realized it was going to become a trilogy--but instead of this novel following the events that took place in I Crash Cars, I decided I wanted to write a prequel. By doing this I have done something that no writer has ever done before in the history of the trilogy. I actually started with the second chapter. I was not aware of this at the time, it was not planned. It's just how it worked out--so most of the character development actually takes place in the second book--which makes it a little more interesting. The first book of this trilogy (I Will Help You Remember) was the first book I put on in 2015. Before summer ends I will put out the last book of the I Crash Cars Trilogy. In the fall I will be putting out an older collection of poetry.

I am presently living with two Russian women in Queens and by 2016 I should be in Northern California. I write a blog called Notes of a Noise Making Drinker. Although I did most of my writing in New York, I seriously look forward to writing in another city.
